Holi, Ananda Sangha, 22 March 2008

Gathered on Paschim Marg just outside Shanti House was an eager brigade of colourful Anandan troops, awaiting the opportunity of decorating their brothers and sisters. Well armed was this brigade with ample supplies of paint powder, water buckets, and spray guns.

The youngest as well as the least experienced Holi players (including nearly all the paler-complected) quickly mastered the intricacies of attack methods and proved their mettle in merciless onslaught time and again.

Invaluable lessons in the art of selfless surrender awaited yogis on their approach!

The cups of traditional lassi—a refreshing halt in the constant onslaught of red, yellow, green, and blue—were likely all that remained white for longer than a few seconds.
