Description
O God Beautiful
was one of the very first albums ever put out by Swami Kriyananda,
direct disciple of the great Indian master of yoga, Paramhansa Yogananda,
author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi.
Produced in
the mid 1970's, you can hear a much more East Indian flavor. Although
this recording was done decades ago, you can feel from each selection
a timeless quality of deep devotion and beauty that stirs the soul.
All of the chants are still sung today by many people around the
world.
Arranged here
for voice, harmonium, kirtals, and tabla, these chants are performed
by musicians from Ananda-a community, founded in 1968 by Kriyananda,
based on the ancient science of yoga and meditation.
