Description
Chanting has
been viewed throughout the ages as a way to focus and uplift the
mind into higher states of consciousness.
Wave of the
Sea features chants written by Paramhansa Yogananda (author of the
spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi), and Kriyananda (a direct
disciple of Yogananda, and a well-known composer, author, and teacher
of metaphysics), as well as traditional Indian chants and mantras.
Arranged here
for voice, harmonium, guitar, flute, harp, kirtals, and tabla, these
chants are performed by musicians from Ananda-a community, founded
in 1968 by Kriyananda, based on the ancient science of yoga.
