Dear great souls,
As we all know, Swamiji has been relentlessly working for last six decades
to fulfill our beloved Guru Paramhansa Yogananda's desire to establish world
brotherhood colonies all across the world. In this mission of his, he had already
established seven Ananda communities across USA and Europe when he came to
India, to his Guru's birthplace, five years back to spread his teachings and
to make us Indians aware about the benefits of living in communities of like-minded
spiritual persons.
Frail in body but with superhuman will power, he has been able to reach out
across the country to spread the message of our line of Gurus. And with the
blessings of our Gurus, Ananda has been able to acquire land near Pune for
the first Kriya Yoga community in India.
Swamiji is scheduled to perform ground-breaking ceremony on the land during
Mahasamadhi functions in the first week of March. The construction will start
with laying of the foundation stone of the Temple of Light. This temple will
be a true monument of our Gurus and all Masters of Self-realisation. Don't
we want this to be a grand structure in the memory of our Gurus?
Swamiji's nature being what it is—of leading from the front—he
will be shifting to Pune immediately to give the energy and direction to the
entire project. For his financial contribution, he has put his house in Gurgaon
for sale.
Now let us contemplate in our own small ways as to how we can too contribute
and give energy to this project.
One insignificant method which I have decided to put into action with immediate
effect is that I have started, after my morning and evening meditation every
day, to put Rs. 5 towards the construction of the Temple of Light at Pune.
What will I contribute? Starting today till the 28th of February 2009, I have
130 days during which my contribution will be a meagre Rs 1,300 @ Rs 10 per
day.
But, friends, let us see the dynamics of numbers. If 2,000 of
our devotees in Ananda India do this, we can present Swamiji with
a purse of Rs 26 lakh on the ground-breaking day. If 5,000 persons
do this, the figure will be Rs. 65 lakh.
What a GRAND MONUMENT in the memory of our Masters we can construct!
So, friends, let us join hands and make this project a grand success. Rs 10
per day can just buy us a small pack of potato chips or two cups of tea or
one small bottle of Pepsi. It is not very much. Let us visualise a magnificent
structure that will be a vortex of light and bliss for India and the entire
world, and let us contribute our tiny bit towards this end.
God and Gurus bless you all.
In Master's joy,
